According to SECO, there is growing interest in energy management competencies. Their website lists certifications and some training providers. Is there sufficient need to warrant new or modified curriculum within college programs? Which programs?
Conduct an analysis on what new competencies are needed by employers to support online community website elements. For example, integration with social media, ideation, discussions, etc.

3D modeling software such as Plant Design Managment System (PDMS) by Aveva. This supports several disciplines such as Mechanical Equipment, Piping, Electrical and Instrument as well as Civil Structural. It is an expensive software, but some of the local junior colleges in Houston are teaching it which bypasses the need to have a technical background which weakens the industry. (from employer survey)
